Perlite is a rock produced from acidic volcanic magma that contains 2-6% water within the grain wall. Perlite, which is expanded with high heat, gains an extra volume of 4-20 times its volume. Perlite, which is used in many areas from agriculture to food processing, does not have any negative effects on human health.
Perlite, a volcanic mineral, expands at high temperatures and gains a light, porous and sterile structure. Thanks to these properties, perlite is widely used as a soil conditioner and a growing medium in hydroponic agriculture. It prevents root rot by improving drainage. The use of perlite in agriculture increases plant productivity and health, providing a more efficient and sustainable production.
In the food and beverage sector, perlite stands out with its unique properties. Offering excellent performance in filtering liquids such as wine, fruit juice and beer, perlite also facilitates transportation and processing thanks to its lightweight structure, thus saving energy and costs. Found in abundance in nature and harmless to the environment, perlite makes an important contribution to sustainable food production.
After the production phase, it takes on a microporous structure and provides high performance in processes such as insulation, filtration, and water retention. It does not burn and does not release gas by reacting with oxygen. 65% of the world’s perlite raw material reserves are in Turkey and perlite is the natural resource of our country. It reduces dependence on petrochemical derivatives by being used in the construction sector. Since it has no negative impact on the environment, it contributes to the protection of our country’s unique and unparalleled nature.
As a result of expanding the perlite used in the construction sector by applying pressure and heat with a special method, water absorbency can be reduced by 75%. Thus, products such as heat, sound and fire insulated lightweight concrete, wall block & panel, plaster, screed and building blanket etc. needed by the construction sector have been developed and made available.
Perstone insulation products containing perlite are economical, natural, and do not have harmful effects on human health. Easy to apply, and provide labor savings. It is quite advantageous for the construction sector in terms of maximum insulation function and contribution to fuel savings.
Continuing its production in Gaziantep, İnper is proud to offer perlite to many sectors by preserving its natural structure as a result of its R&D studies carried out for many years.
As İnper, we are pioneering the introduction of new products to our country with our R&D department, where research and development studies are carried out, and we are taking firm steps towards the vision of being the most innovative company in the sector in domestic and international markets. In all these studies, we aim to develop the materials, products and solutions that not only our country but also the world needs.
To achieve this goal, we continue to increase our investments in modern laboratory devices and equipment and the employment of expert personnel every year.
The main task of our R&D department is to develop the projects required for the production of products that will meet the current and future demands of our sector and to ensure that existing products are offered to the market at lower costs and at the determined quality standards.
Our R&D experts work together with universities, research centers, institutes and suppliers to make the most of external information sources. In order to continue sharing information more effectively, they participate in domestic and international fairs and follow conferences, seminars and congresses.
The first priority in Quality Control studies is to determine the compliance of the raw materials used with Quality Control standards. Only raw materials with approved quality in the specified standards are used in the production phase.
The Quality Control process, which begins with the control of raw materials, continues with intermediate controls of the products during the production phase. Tests determined by the standards are applied to the samples taken from the products. Our expert team works meticulously to prevent the shipment of products that exceed the standard values.
